REMINDER > for all students attending Gen Connection on Sunday, please be reminded that daylight savings comes to an end this Sunday and we will gain an hour.

🎶 7-12 | Gen Connection | THIS Sunday 6 April @ The Gov

• Tickets are now ON SALE via the College website: Upcoming Events | Nazareth Catholic Community Please note that all money raised will contribute to subsidy for the GIJ 2025 trip.
• Table bookings at the Gov are available via this LINK. Please note, doors open at 10.30am, with the Kitchen opening from 11am.
• Reminder – students are required to arrive at 10.30am wearing their Music Performance Uniform (including their Blazers). Please make sure the uniform is presented neatly, with polished shoes, shirts tucked in, belts (where possible), and tidy hair. Students, please don’t forget to take your Instruments home and bring your sheet music also!
• Please refer to the schedule below for specific performance times which have been slightly changed this week.

🎙️ Catholic Schools Music Festival Choir | Tuesday 8 April | Visit from Mrs Rothall

• Please note that in week 11, on Tuesday 8th of April, Mrs Rothall will be visiting our Yr 5/6 Choir, CSMF at 8am. Students are asked to ensure they are prompt in arriving at 7.50am to set up and warm up before her arrival.
• Students should refer to the R-6 Ensemble details for repertoire that must be known by this time.

✝️ Stations of the Cross Masses | Thursday 10 & Friday 11 April | Week 11

• The Yr 10 Music Ministry Classes, along with a couple of Findon Students will be involved in the Stations of the Cross Masses in week 11, and perform the same repertoire at all 3 Campuses as follows:
  • SESSION 1 Thursday 10th April – Findon – students are asked to please be dropped off at the Findon Campus by 8am (meeting in the gym) and will be bussed back to their respective campuses at 10.45am.
  • SESSION 2 Friday 11th April – Flinders Park – students are to be dropped off at the FP Campus by 8.30am, and will ALL be bussed to Kidman Park at 10.45am. Please bring your bag & packed recess/lunch with you.
  • SESSION 3 Friday 11th April – Kidman Park – students will set up and complete the third Stations of the Cross event, before being bussed back to campuses at 1.35pm.
• **Please note – recess will be provided for performing Music Ministry students on Friday 11th.

😎 Holiday Rehearsals | Musical & Generations in Jazz

PLEASE NOTE – these have CHANGED this week!! We understand that not all Vocal Jazz students may be available on Tuesday (wk 1 of Holidays), this was the best date for the majority of students.

• Tuesday 15 April – VOCAL JAZZ Holiday Rehearsals (at FLINDERS PARK):
  • 9.00-11am for all VOCAL JAZZ 1 students
  • 11-1.00pm for all VOCAL JAZZ 2 students
• Tuesday 22 April – Musical Rehearsal (9-4pm at KP)
• Wednesday 23 April – Musical Rehearsal (9-4pm at KP)
• Thursday 24 April – Generations in Jazz Rehearsals (at FLINDERS PARK):
  • 8.00am – 10.00am for all STAGE BAND 1 students
  • 10.30am – 12.30pm for all STAGE BAND 2 students
  • 1.30pm – 3.30pm for all STAGE BAND 3 students
  • 1.30pm – 3.30pm for all JAZZ COMBO***updated time!

• Final Payment ($420) due (Friday, 4th April (Week 10) for students in Stage Band 1, 2, 3 & Vocal Jazz 1, 2 & Jazz Combo
• Uniform Requirements:
  • Nazareth Music Uniform (black clothing & Music tie)
  • Co-Curricular Jumper ($70, required for trip and available from Uniform Shop)

👴 R-6 | Grandfriends Day | Friday 23 May

• Term 2, Week 4 is the annual Grandfriends Day celebration at our Findon Campus. This year a smaller number of ensembles have been requested to perform, including CSMF Choir, 3-4 Choir & R-2 Choir.

👦CSMF Combined Boys EOI

• Any boys in Years 7-12 who are interested in being involved in the Catholic Schools Music Festival Combined Boys Ensemble for 2025 – please email Mrs Joyce. It will require you to perform a minimum of 2 evenings in week 10 of Term 3.

🏕️Blues & Roots

We’re sharing this opportunity as part of Adelaide Guitar Festival as you may be interested in the Blues and Roots guitar winter school. Check it out on the Adeliade Festival Centre’s website here Guitar Winter School • Adelaide Guitar Festival

It runs for 5 days (you must attend all 5 days), you must play acoustic guitar (no electric), the fee is $250, and you work with Cal Williams Jr (an awesome guitarist and blues composer) to compose songs and learn blues guitar techniques.

Instrumental Hire Forms

Instrumental tuition lessons are open to all students and can be arranged through our music office. Lessons are mostly conducted during school hours on a rotating basis.  The forms and documents below detail many aspects of the music program, including instrumental tuition program fees and enrolment.
